At Cashmere Heights Home we embrace Enliven’s philosophy of care which is based around the internationally recognised, Eden Alternative. That means we take every opportunity to make sure elders have companionship, spontaneity, fun, meaningful activity and a sense of purpose in their lives.
Cashmere Heights Home have 4-year Ministry of Health certification – the maximum certification achievement that has be awarded by the ministry.
To achieve certification the homes underwent a rigorous audit process which looked at a multitude of things, including the way residents are cared for, how staff interact with the residents, how policies and procedures are followed and applied, documentation standards and time frames, the general environment as well as the satisfaction levels of residents, families and staff.

Your place. Your space.
Residents of Cashmere Heights Home are invited to make this home their home. You can go to breakfast in your dressing gown if you like!
We also encourage you to bring along the familiar things that make you feel comfortable and ‘at home’ (even your cat can come!). Many residents bring items such as photographs, artwork, ornaments, bed covers and even favourite pieces of furniture.

We share a room but we have two rooms so we use the spare room as our lounge for social gatherings. Our family live nearby and they can visit whenever they like.
