Day Support Programmes
Join in the activity and Enliven your day.
Enliven’s day support programmes provide a friendly, relaxed and fun environment to socialise, keep active and stay connected with your community.
Designed for people living alone or with family, the programme gives you a chance to get out of the house and enjoy a range of activities with others at a similar stage of life.
Our programmes are developed by trained diversional therapists and run by our recreation staff and volunteers.
An Enliven day support programme may just brighten your day.
Activities are tailored to the group’s interests and are flexible enough to happen in a way that suits you.
Popular activities include friendly games, bowls, sewing and craft, gentle exercise classes, themed parties and events, sight-seeing trips, music and a wide variety of visiting entertainers.
Enliven day programmes are run from our rest homes or community centres, which means the environment is safe, friendly, relaxed and well set up for those with mobility or medical needs.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided and transport can be arranged. Costs for Enliven day programmes vary depending on your needs and circumstances. The service can be paid for privately, however, funding is often available. Talk to us about the options available to you.
I’ve been coming to the day activity programme for seven years now and I love it so much that I have only ever missed a few sessions. I look forward to it every week and have made some really good friends.

It’s a very positive space and the staff are great, they’re always thinking of new things for us to do. All of us share a lot of laughs together, it’s a lot of fun.

Coming to the day programme has helped me use my brain more and stay sharp, and I’ve noticed my memory has improved. I’m not worried I’m losing it any more.

Four years ago I was feeling very lonely and my doctor told me about the programme. I’ve been coming ever since and I haven’t felt like that again. It’s got me feeling like my true self again.
Elizabeth
It means my wife can go to work and I can come here. I get in at 10am and home at 3pm. There’s plenty to do here – they fill the day and they really look after us.
Trevor
I’m very into music and they have people that come in and play piano or sing. They have painting classes, games, exercise programmes, and children come in to spend time with us.
Margery
It’s a great chance to have a laugh, have a chat with your friends and do things you wouldn’t normally do at home. It keeps me on my toes and away from the tele!
Betty
I really love the variety of activities we do here and the mental stimulation I get when we do things like crosswords and quizzes. It’s good for my wife too – she gets to have a little break while I’m here!
